Week #81 - Love You Burlington!!
October 30th - Tonight we went late night tracting and had many pass along cards and were going to hand them all out before 9pm. We handed every single one out but still had 5 min. I reached into my bag not looking and pulled put a card! We went to the closest home with lights on. We knocked and then a man in the basement opened the door and jumped back he didn't realize we were there. We shared the Book of Mormon and testified of Hope. He said he would love to meet with us!
October 31st - Today was my last District Council. I was asked to share my testimony of Jesus Christ and through serving Him I have come to know Him.
Fernando had his interview today and while he was being interviewed we taught Juan Carlos and Arnesto. Arnesto has changed his heart and I think just speaking with Fernando these past few weeks has helped. We felt the spirit to invite them to be baptized. They have their date set for November 30th!
November 1st - I had my last dinner with Sister Zelenko! I love her so much and cried when we left because it hit me that this isn't home.
We had family home evening with the Omamohwo family (Efe & Juliet & there kids) and the kids were getting into family history and were asking their parents about their family and birthdays it was amazing!
November 2nd - Today Fernando was baptized!!:) I said the opening prayer in Spanish with the help of Andre hah. We couldn't find Juliet' s keys at the baptism and we were looking everywhere and then Sister Pearson and I turned to each other and said a prayer and right when we said keys in the prayer Claire yelled from afar and said she found them! Got transfer calls, Sister Pearson is getting two new companions in Burlington, and I'm going home!
November 3rd - Today Fernando was confirmed and was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood. He leaves Thursday November 7th to Mexico. We were able to transfer all his records with the help of the ward clerk and bishop. Fernando came up and bore his testimony and then Andre came up so He could translate. He shared that when he was young his grandma always invited him to church but he thought that it was foolish. Now he said that ever so often he will have dreams and memories of his grandma. He knows that she is with him and has helped him get to this point.
We went to the Fraser's for dinner and they fed us a delicious meal! Fit for a King. As we ate we shared the message of the Plan of Salvation and the spirit filled the room. In each point I knew that this plan is the plan of Love.
Before we left Sister Fraser gave me the Book 'A Little Princess' that I've wanted. In the Book she wrote that I was a princess
"All these things shall give the experience and shall be for they good, therefore. Hold on."
