Week #26 - ...I Will Sacrifice YOU to be more like ME

During sacrament meeting this boy named chase returned from his mission 2 months ago and shared 


"Sacrifice the best part of you -  and I will sacrifice you -  to be more like Me." 


This brought so much hope! If you sacrifice with faith the blessings will COME. 
Test it out and I promise. You will see yourself change. 





It all starts with the Book of Mormon, 
1. Open it up and read as you go along notice words that stand out to you and write them out, either if they stand out multiple times or if you feel anger against it study it, understand why you feel that way 

 2. Pray to God asking him to give you the strength over come that specific attribute. 

3. You will be tried, you will be tested but if you focus on that attribute, focus on doing God's will, with the Strength of the Atonement of Jesus Christ you will get through it. Not only get through it but overcome it. You will see yourself better, stronger and happier then you did before. 



Being a missionary, I've felt hard hearted when I've read the scriptures sometimes.  As I've studied and learned more about it, I discovered it is because I am still needed more light.  (Doctrine and Covenants 88:67) As I've studied, obeyed, and listened to any advice I have received, I have seen myself change. Because of the Atonement it's gone, it's really gone:) those feelings, those worries, their gone. It's real, it really is real:)



All it takes⬇

1.Read the scriptures with real intent (acting upon any impression you have) 




2.Having Faith in Christ (praying for strength to get through the trial) 



3. Attend the temple as often as possible. Not only will you receive revelation that comes only from God, but it will strengthen your spirit. 


4. When you get, GIVE. As you share the qualities you have with others it actually makes you grow, like a river. Water comes in and out, it's beautiful and blue. If you hold in everything you'll become like a swamp, moldy, green, small. 



I can promise that the things that I have said are true. I've seen each one of these happen to myself and work. It's real.

A little more about Efe's baptism 2 weeks ago - Efe Omamohwo was Baptized and Confirmed September 28th and 29th. Owen gave a talk on Baptism and Claire gave one on the Holy Ghost and then Claire and Serena sang 'I'm trying to be like Jesus' together. The last sang that we all sang was families can be together forever.  Efe bore his testimony the Sunday he was confirmed about how he received a blessing to quit drinking coffee and he said after the blessing he had no desire to drink coffee.  Something that was amazing to see was that Efe and Juliet put their wedding rings back on.  They both are working together better than they ever have and look so much happier than they did when I first met them.  Efe will be receiving the Priesthood soon. They are working toward getting sealed in the TEMPLE!! We were walking down the road reactivating and contacting and we saw this women and her husband walking their dog. Week #25 - Christ's Atonement is the Reason to be Happy!

Yesterday was actually Thanksgiving in Canada!! (another Monday holiday!) I had 3 Thanksgiving dinners.. hahah.   One on Sunday and two on Monday.   I felt like I looked pregnant, but it was so good:)  I feel like I don't know anything:) It’s a good thing that God does. I feel like a child relearning everything.   Obedience brings Faith, Faith is the only way to understand the Atonement.   I am trying to understand it better.   I’ve been talking with my mission President to better understand the Atonement.   He gave me scriptures and talked about it at zone conference.   Sister Nicole Lowder - Love..Love..Love! He shared with the missionaries the following:   "It is difficult to add anything to conference, but I remembered a quote from Pres. Week #81 - Love You Burlington!!

October 27th - Serena did her very last primary program and will be going to Young Women's this January! We knocked on a door and Kirna a mother visiting from India answered the door. We said we were sharing a message about Jesus Christ. She said "Jesus Christ?" "Come in" as we talked to her she said that she was praying for her husband in India that he would have water and she said God blessed him with it. She was so grateful we came and fed us food she was making for her family. October 30th - Tonight we went late night tracting and had many pass along cards and were going to hand them all out before 9pm. We handed every single one out but still had 5 min. I reached into my bag not looking and pulled put a card! We went to the closest home with lights on. We knocked and then a man in the basement opened the door and jumped back he didn't realize we were there. We shared the Book of Mormon and testified of Hope. He said he...
