Week #30 - He Proves the Sincerity of His Love! (2 Corinthians 8:8-9)

Kingston is amazing:) 

I absolutely love the branch I serve in. It's pretty big for being a branch but everyone is involved and works together. 

Sister Clark and I go to sister Brown's home every p-day and Knit with her (favorite hobby).

Also I LOVE raking leaves! We've done a lot of it at Suzie’s and Sister Pearsall’s home and what's even better is we've had a chance to stop and talk to people as we're doing it.



I am so very blessed to have Sister Clark as my companion!! When we're together finding, teaching, or visiting returning members I can always feel the spirit there. We're both here with the same goal in mind and it's made the work so enjoyable!! Currently we are struggling with finding. I've taken the challenge from Elder Shakespeare and testified to anyone I see about Jesus Christ.

Currently we have been teaching 3 people. 
  
Sipho has the strongest desire I've ever seen someone have. She has gone from religion to religion (like Joseph Smith) to find which one is true. She wants to believe that this is the one, but she hasn't received an answer yet. She is very religious. Right now she goes to church,  meets with us, and reads everything we give her. She takes notes and really studies everything, but she hasn't received a confirmation that she can recognize.  I feel that the spirit is helping her understand how to gain her own personal revelation. She has been obedient to God and our invitations but she hasn't searched for herself and read the scriptures on her own every night. She's just been doing the assignments and studying them.   Please pray for Sipho!!


Highlight Scriptures:

Alma 41:14-15

14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.

15 For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored; therefore, the word restoration more fully condemneth the sinner, and justifieth him not at all.
What you do to others you will recieve, how you are now is what you will be like in heaven. You Choose.



Alma 42:4 
And thus we see, that there was a time granted unto man to repent, yea, a probationary time, a time to repent and serve God.
We are here to repent, move forward, and have Joy! "Time to Repent and Serve God." We are on this Earth for this reason.

Find out the Why:

- Read your patriarchal blessing and find the talents and gifts you have been blessed with. Study them and find out why they were given to you. Remember the Spirit wants what the natural man does not. As you study to learn who you are, prayerfully  council with Heavenly Father and ask for the grace of Jesus Christ to reach you and help you to accept His love and help in your life to change and make it through.  . 

 -"We are Spirits sent to earth to have a mortal experience, and not mortal beings trying to have a spiritual experience.


I've been talking to Elder Olsen (Senior couple) about knowledge and he has shared and sent me some insights that I would love to share with you! 

-"The desired, appetites and passions of the mortal body are in direct conflict with what you have grown up seeking after in the pre-existence. So that is the challenge of our coming to this earth it is for us to learn to control and change our mortal bodies natural Desires, Appetites and Passions to become subject to the desires of our spiritual beings. 

That we will learn and love to choose good over evil, choosing that which is Godlike.[ Kindness, Patience, Meekness, Humility, Diligence, Charity, Faith, Hope, Love, Long Suffering]"

I am grateful for Jesus Christ. I know He lives. That through him we can be saved from the awful misery of being bound down by the adversary. We can be free to choose and be aware of our choices. He lives and because He lives, YOU can live! In everything you do, Look to God and Live. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

A little more about Efe's baptism 2 weeks ago - Efe Omamohwo was Baptized and Confirmed September 28th and 29th. Owen gave a talk on Baptism and Claire gave one on the Holy Ghost and then Claire and Serena sang 'I'm trying to be like Jesus' together. The last sang that we all sang was families can be together forever.  Efe bore his testimony the Sunday he was confirmed about how he received a blessing to quit drinking coffee and he said after the blessing he had no desire to drink coffee.  Something that was amazing to see was that Efe and Juliet put their wedding rings back on.  They both are working together better than they ever have and look so much happier than they did when I first met them.  Efe will be receiving the Priesthood soon. Week #25 - Christ's Atonement is the Reason to be Happy!

Yesterday was actually Thanksgiving in Canada!! (another Monday holiday!) I had 3 Thanksgiving dinners.. hahah.   One on Sunday and two on Monday.   I felt like I looked pregnant, but it was so good:)  I feel like I don't know anything:) It’s a good thing that God does. I feel like a child relearning everything.   Obedience brings Faith, Faith is the only way to understand the Atonement.   I am trying to understand it better.   I’ve been talking with my mission President to better understand the Atonement.   He gave me scriptures and talked about it at zone conference.   Sister Nicole Lowder - Love..Love..Love! He shared with the missionaries the following:   "It is difficult to add anything to conference, but I remembered a quote from Pres. Week #81 - Love You Burlington!!

October 27th - Serena did her very last primary program and will be going to Young Women's this January! We knocked on a door and Kirna a mother visiting from India answered the door. We said we were sharing a message about Jesus Christ. She said "Jesus Christ?" "Come in" as we talked to her she said that she was praying for her husband in India that he would have water and she said God blessed him with it. She was so grateful we came and fed us food she was making for her family. October 30th - Tonight we went late night tracting and had many pass along cards and were going to hand them all out before 9pm. We handed every single one out but still had 5 min. I reached into my bag not looking and pulled put a card! We went to the closest home with lights on. We knocked and then a man in the basement opened the door and jumped back he didn't realize we were there. We shared the Book of Mormon and testified of Hope. He said he...
