Week #62 - Going from a Loaf of Bread to a Crouton

Image
This week Megan came to church with her boyfriend again. She asked that we meet with her this weekend. We are excited to visit with her! God is pouring the Miracles right in my lap. I was on Exchanges Friday- Saturday and we went to do drop-byes and update our area book. We made our way to Carlos home and knocked on the door only to find out he has moved over 7 years ago. We asked the man at the door if he was interested, he was content in his beliefs so we asked if there was anyone in the neighborhood that was interested. He pointed to house #17 and said they would be.  Usually when we ask for referrals in the neighborhood they send us either to the most anti home, or their best friend. We walked over looking at each other and totally thinking it was another set up. We knocked on the door and saw a picture of the first supper on the side of the entrance. We mentioned the picture and introduced ourselves. She let us in and we taught her and her daughter the Restoration.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ This week: We received a call Friday morning 10:13am to be exact from Oregon. A man named Tyler called and is moving from Oregon to Burlington in 2 weeks. He has heard about the church in Oregon and wants to come. The question he had was that he wanted to know which church was true ?  We taught him the Restoration over the phone and he said he would be at church next week! Then Saturday afternoon we received a call from a missionary that recently returned home. He called us and said that Megan a former YSA he taught messaged him saying she read, the Book of Mormon and knows that it us true!! She came to church Sunday and wants to be baptized?!  Crazyyy experience:       I was at the doctor and needed to get my blood drawn. I sat in a chair that was in the corner of the lobby hahha so I had an audience of missionaries around me hah.       The doctor asked if I faint when I get my blood drawn and

Week #60 - Offering Genuine Love Hurts and Causes Pain, but it Also Brings JOY!

Sad news, We haven't been able to contact Lisa, We're guessing its because someone has scared her and given her Anti information.  We went to her work and found out she was transferring somewhere else (she doesn't want us to know where she works). Probably the saddest I've been over some one we've taught.   We've stayed in contact with Jessica though! We are going to see her tonight and bringing her fresh Mary's recipe chocolate chip cookies. We have been doing lots of cookie drop offs(no one rejects the offer) except we ran out of brown sugar and granulated sugar and used our last option, powdered sugar that actually tasted really good. They tasted like sweet biscuits.  Sister Kirk asked if we could share the lessons with her son Theo who is 7 years old to prepare him for baptism. He is the cutest and as I was writing something down he sat right next to me and snuggled up by me and said "you are a good teacher" and smiled at
