Week #61 Wonderful WEEK!!

This week:

We received a call Friday morning 10:13am to be exact from Oregon. A man named Tyler called and is moving from Oregon to Burlington in 2 weeks. He has heard about the church in Oregon and wants to come. The question he had was that he wanted to know which church was true ?  We taught him the Restoration over the phone and he said he would be at church next week!

Then Saturday afternoon we received a call from a missionary that recently returned home. He called us and said that Megan a former YSA he taught messaged him saying she read, the Book of Mormon and knows that it us true!! She came to church Sunday and wants to be baptized?! 


Crazyyy experience: 

      I was at the doctor and needed to get my blood drawn. I sat in a chair that was in the corner of the lobby hahha so I had an audience of missionaries around me hah. 
     The doctor asked if I faint when I get my blood drawn and I said "no, I get queasy though." Before they started to draw my blood the nurse told the doctor right in front of me that she was scared (they had 2 bad incidences right before me.) Hahh Ahhh! 
     I pulled my sleeve up and she put the needle in and said, (after seeing my pale face) "see the bad part's done!" No, the bad part is the feeling of liquid being sucked out of my body! 
     By this point I was really loopy and so loudly and laughing I said "Ow! that hurts!"  and then my head  hit my shoulder and I was out!  I woke up with 4 Indian nurses around me. The doctor was trying to give me water, one had candy in her hand and the other had Coke, hah it was crazy. So embarrassing!!!

We baked cookies with Sister Conway, and helped with her yard, then saw Sister Zelenko and helped her.  She was feeling very ill. We played the piano and sang to her as she was lying down.

A little more about Efe's baptism 2 weeks ago - Efe Omamohwo was Baptized and Confirmed September 28th and 29th. Owen gave a talk on Baptism and Claire gave one on the Holy Ghost and then Claire and Serena sang 'I'm trying to be like Jesus' together. The last sang that we all sang was families can be together forever.  Efe bore his testimony the Sunday he was confirmed about how he received a blessing to quit drinking coffee and he said after the blessing he had no desire to drink coffee.  Something that was amazing to see was that Efe and Juliet put their wedding rings back on.  They both are working together better than they ever have and look so much happier than they did when I first met them.  Efe will be receiving the Priesthood soon. They are working toward getting sealed in the TEMPLE!! We were walking down the road reactivating and contacting and we saw this women and her husband walking their dog. Week #25 - Christ's Atonement is the Reason to be Happy!

Yesterday was actually Thanksgiving in Canada!! (another Monday holiday!) I had 3 Thanksgiving dinners.. hahah.   One on Sunday and two on Monday.   I felt like I looked pregnant, but it was so good:)  I feel like I don't know anything:) It’s a good thing that God does. I feel like a child relearning everything.   Obedience brings Faith, Faith is the only way to understand the Atonement.   I am trying to understand it better.   I’ve been talking with my mission President to better understand the Atonement.   He gave me scriptures and talked about it at zone conference.   Sister Nicole Lowder - Love..Love..Love! He shared with the missionaries the following:   "It is difficult to add anything to conference, but I remembered a quote from Pres. Week #81 - Love You Burlington!!

October 27th - Serena did her very last primary program and will be going to Young Women's this January! We knocked on a door and Kirna a mother visiting from India answered the door. We said we were sharing a message about Jesus Christ. She said "Jesus Christ?" "Come in" as we talked to her she said that she was praying for her husband in India that he would have water and she said God blessed him with it. She was so grateful we came and fed us food she was making for her family. October 30th - Tonight we went late night tracting and had many pass along cards and were going to hand them all out before 9pm. We handed every single one out but still had 5 min. I reached into my bag not looking and pulled put a card! We went to the closest home with lights on.
